Provides technical guidance and oversight on complex implementations. Leads team members in problem analysis and issue resolution. Manages projects through the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support. Recommends process, technology, and interface improvements to enhance team effectiveness and integration engine performance. Analyzes and proposes solutions for interface projects and problems. Gathers and documents project requirements, analyzes current functionality, and assesses the impact of future design decisions. Reads, comprehends, and creates technical specifications and documentation. Researches and provides solutions for new technologies or interface standards. Designs changes and enhancements, including routing, mapping, and scripting logic. Diagrams high-level and detailed interface designs and creates detailed conformance documents. Develops integration solutions and interfaces using standards or protocols like HL7, CCD, XML, X12, FTP, FHIR, web services, API, etc., according to specifications for complex projects. Codes interface logic using languages such as ObjectScripts, Korn shell, etc. Effectively uses interface engines like Health Connect, Epic Bridges, or comparable systems to support integration needs. Troubleshoots and resolves issues, escalates if necessary. Mentors team members and participates in on-call rotation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to logically read and comprehend technical and/or functional manuals and instructions [Required] • Research and analysis skills to design new interface architecture or enhance existing interface architecture for complex solutions [Required] • Knowledge of HL7 standards (HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA) [Required] • Knowledge of scripting languages (such as TCL, Korn Shell, FSI Scripting or comparable) [Required] • Knowledge of interface engines and their architecture (such as Health Connect, Epic Bridges, Cloverleaf, Cerner Open Engine, or comparable interface engine) [Required] • Ability to determine issue impact and resolve complex issues in stressful situations [Required] • In-depth knowledge of healthcare interoperability concepts and architecture (such as: Epic, Cerner, Athena or other EMR interoperability functionality) [Required] Education: • Bachelor's [Required] Field of Study: • in a field of study such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent IT work experience Work Experience: • 4 ystems integration or hl7 interface development experience (such as designing, building, programming, installing and supporting hl7 interfaces) [Required] • Coordinating and managing competing priorities and issues to facilitate appropriate client support and escalation of issues [Required] • Epic, Cerner, SQL, HL7, Linux or UNIX, Scripting Languages (ObjectScripts, TCL, Korn shell, or comparable), CCD or CDA, Health Connect, Epic Bridges, Cloverleaf, Cerner Open Engine, CCL or Discern Explorer, Relational Database, HL7 v2.x, FHIR, Web Services or API development [Preferred] • Integration development experience (such as mapping, scripting, connectivity, and configuration) [Required] • Interface on-call support [Preferred] • Leading and working on multiple complex projects concurrently [Required] • Mentoring and training team members [Required] • Programming and problem analysis [Preferred] • Programming/systems analysis experience with emphasis in applications and systems architectural design and development – database and middleware technologies [Preferred] • Providing technical oversight for complex projects through project life cycle [Required] • Troubleshooting [Required] Additional Information: • N/A Licenses and Certifications: • EPIC Credential (EPIC CRED) [Required] • HL7 CDA certification (HL7CDA) [Preferred] • HL7 FHIR certification (HL7FHIR) [Preferred] Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - https://tinyurl.com/23km2677 Pay Range: $96,266.14 - $179,045.63 This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
