All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family: Benefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance Paid Time Off from Day One 403-B Retirement Plan 4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental Leave Career Development Whole Person Well-being Resources Mental Health Resources and Support Pet Benefits Schedule: Part time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 2100 OCOEE APOPKA RD City: APOPKA State: Florida Postal Code: 32703 Job Description: SHIFT: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 0800 - 1630 • Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows. • Supports breast center initiatives, such as accreditation preparation, community screening events, or quality improvement activities. • Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams. • Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. • Performs high-quality examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. • Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. • Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed. • Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion. • Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements. • Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps. • Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions [Required] • Ability to determine appropriate technical factors [Required] • Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA and ACR regulations [Required] • Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety [Required] • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required] • Ability to complete Mammography exams in a timely manner even under stressful condition [Required] • Good organizational skills [Preferred] • Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment [Preferred] • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required] • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required] • Ability to make judgments that must be made on a regular basis regarding exam protocols and imaging techniques, based upon patient condition and provisional diagnosis [Required] • Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required] • Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required] • Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required] • Performance of 2D and 3D mammography exams [Required] • Teamwork [Required] • Verbal Interpersonal [Required] • Customer Relations [Required] • Grammar/Spelling [Required] • Read/Comprehend written instructions [Required] • Follow verbal instructions [Required] • Keyboarding (manual) [Required] • Computer (visual) [Required] Education: • High School Grad or Equivalent [Required] • Associate [Preferred] Field of Study: • N/A Work Experience: • 1 year of experience [Required] Additional Information: • Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
