Identifies priorities to ensure safe, effective, and efficient departmental functioning. Establishes and implements the most effective staffing mix. Oversees the development, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures specific to the Employee Health Department and Workers’ Compensation program. Reviews and updates policies as scheduled, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations. Maintains standards of nursing care and delivers safe and effective care as defined by organizational standards. Administers medications safely and effectively. Interacts with internal and external contacts to serve as a resource and exchange pertinent information while maintaining confidentiality. Attends depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings regarding Workers’ Compensation claims. Oversees and assists in the retrieval of data necessary for records and reports required for governmental regulations, insurance purposes, and various committees. Creates and provides reports required by internal reporting committees and external reporting agencies. Oversees the daily operations of the Employee Health Department and Workers’ Compensation program. Other duties as assigned.
