Job Responsibilities:Rough-In Plumbing Installation: Install the basic plumbing framework for new construction projects, including water lines, waste lines, and vent systems, ensuring proper layout and alignment as per blueprints and local building codes.Fixture Installation: Install plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers, and other related equipment in residential and commercial properties.Pipe Fitting: Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes and tubing, including PVC, copper, and PEX, for water supply and drainage systems.Leak Testing: Conduct thorough leak tests to ensure the integrity and safety of newly installed systems.System Checks: Inspect and verify that plumbing systems are installed correctly and functioning properly, including performing checks on water pressure and drainage.Job Site Preparation and Cleanliness: Prepare job sites by ensuring proper layout and organization of tools and materials, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment.Code Compliance: Ensure all plumbing installations meet local, state, and federal plumbing codes, following safety regulations and quality standards.Team Collaboration: Work closely with other trades, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to coordinate efforts on larger projects.Customer Communication: Interact professionally with clients to explain installation procedures and address any concerns or questions they may have about their plumbing systems.Documentation: Accurately document work completed, including daily logs, material used, and any job changes, and communicate this information to project managers or supervisors.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 5 years of plumbing installation experience, with a strong understanding of rough-in plumbing techniques and residential/commercial systems.Knowledge: Familiarity with plumbing codes, safety standards, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.Tools & Equipment: Proficient in using hand and power tools required for plumbing installations.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, bend, squat, and work in various positions.
