Journeyman Electrician -- Commercial Power & Lighting Specialist

Step onto commercial projects where precision matters. As a Journeyman Electrician focused on power and lighting, you will bring complex spaces to life—hospitality venues, retail buildouts, and sleek office environments—by installing systems safely, efficiently, and to spec.

Your morning might begin roughing in circuits across a new retail floor, bending EMT to weave through challenging architectural elements. By midday, you’re landing feeders into a transformer and tying in a sub-panel, then finishing with architectural lighting—complete with dimming controls and clearly marked emergency egress paths. Before you leave, you’ve hooked up a commercial kitchen line and verified everything aligns to the current National Electrical Code (NEC).

• Wiring, start to finish: Execute rough-in and trim work across hospitality, retail, and office zones.
• Conduit craftsmanship: Bend and route EMT, PVC, and MC cables through complex structures.
• Power distribution: Install and wire panels, transformers, sub-panels, and feeder runs for commercial applications.
• Lighting and controls: Set high-end architectural fixtures, dimming systems, landscape lighting, and emergency exit pathways.
• Equipment tie-ins: Wire commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC units, and clubhouse utility systems.
• Code-driven execution: Deliver work that strictly follows the current NEC.

• Commercial Journeyman Electrician experience.
• 4 years in commercial electrical work.
• Documented experience on restaurants, retail spaces, or hospitality projects.
• Advanced blueprint reading, precise layout, and strong conduit-bending skills.
• Personal hand tools and reliable transportation.

• Background with smart lighting controls or commercial automation platforms.
• Experience installing underground conduit or parking lot lighting.
