Printing Press Operator

Duties

• Set up and operate printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials
• Monitor press operations to ensure proper ink coverage, registration, and overall print quality
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing presses to keep them in optimal working condition
• Collaborate with design and prepress teams to ensure accurate color management and layout design
• Follow production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Inspect printed materials for defects and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards
• Maintain inventory of printing supplies and order replacements as needed
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience

• Proven experience as a Press Operator or similar role in a printing environment
• Strong knowledge of printing processes, including color management, typography, and layout design
• Familiarity with different types of printing presses, such as offset, digital, or screen printing
• Proficiency in operating press machinery and performing routine maintenance tasks
• Experience with prepress processes, including file preparation and proofing
• Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design software
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and production specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks
