- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated local routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling
- Deliver freight to various customer locations while maintaining schedule efficiency
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, including planning optimal paths for timely deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered during trips
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, load details, mileage logs, and inspection reports in compliance with company policies
Skills
- Proven experience driving commercial vehicles with manual transmission in a local setting
