1019 express transportation is seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Driver (NON CDL) to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating box trucks to deliver freight and goods to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks, including those with manual transmissions, across designated routes to deliver freight efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks & lift gate ensuring proper handling and securement of goods.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues, safety hazards, and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Manage route driving with precision, adhering to schedules while maintaining safety standards on the road.
- Handle various types of freight
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip while communicating effectively with dispatch teams.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state transportation laws, including hours of service regulations and safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles, preferably with delivery driver experience involving 24-26ft box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Experience for night shifts is a plus but not a must
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures using pallet jacks , Hand trucks , Dollie’s to ensure safe cargo handling.
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently using GPS or route planning tools while maintaining punctuality.
- Valid driver’s license (NON CDL)
- Medical DOT CARD
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to trucking operations including load securement and vehicle maintenance.
