Job Description Summary The Radiation Therapist delivers ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist in a safe and accurate manner. Job Description QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Eligible for registration in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Registry must be completed within eighteen (18) months of eligibility. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or satisfactory completion of a 24-month course in Radiologic Technology and ARRT registration. Previous experience in a clinical Radiation Oncology setting. LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Effective verbal and written communication skills. SKILLS: Preferred: Experience in operating personal computers including operation of computer software in a Windows environment.
