Department Overview The Manufacturing Engineering Department is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production. It serves as a bridge between product design and production, enabling scalable and sustainable manufacturing operations. Position Responsibilities Project areas may include Design and fabrication of manufacturing tooling and fixtures Sustainability metrics ownership Manufacturing process improvements Propose new ideas to save on manufacturing costs, labor, or improve quality. Test and present findings for assigned projects. Create documentation and process flow diagrams, based on assigned projects. Minimum Qualifications Currently a student earning a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. Must be graduating between May 2026 and August 2027. Desired Qualifications Working knowledge of PC business software applications (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Highly motivated and a self-starter Strong oral and written communication skills Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation Proven and demonstrated teamwork skills Focus on working with cross-functional teams Experience with leveraging spreadsheets, systems, and processes to complete tasks. Experience with creating 3D designs and drawings using dimensioning and tolerancing. Experience with SolidWorks preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel. The total compensation for this position is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience.
