Systems Engineer III Job Description The Role We are looking for a Data Center Technician that is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of data center infrastructure and equipment to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. This role involves hands-on technical work, including hardware installation, cabling, troubleshooting, and monitoring of data center systems to maintain uptime and operational efficiency. What You’ll Do · Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.· · Perform routine data center maintenance such as hardware checks, cable management, and environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, power usage). · Support hardware lifecycle management — deployment, decommissioning, and asset tracking. · Monitor systems and alerts to ensure optimal data center performance and uptime. · Respond to incidents, perform diagnostics, and resolve hardware and connectivity issues. · Coordinate with network and system administrators to troubleshoot server, switch, or power issues. · Maintain accurate documentation of equipment inventory, configurations, and maintenance logs. · Prepare incident and performance reports for review by management. · Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data center operations and maintenance. · Enforce physical and logical security standards within the data center. · Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. · Escort and supervise vendors or contractors as needed. · Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call as needed.
