GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: You are a key player in supporting data infrastructure for current and future initiatives for the Institutional Advancement (IA) department, supporting the operations and prospecting for Development, Membership, External Affairs, and Special Events teams. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and management of the department’s data infrastructure based on business needs and in collaboration with many stakeholders within The Met (e.g., Finance, Technology, Digital, Retail, Restaurants, Visitor Experience, Finance, etc.). You have exceptional technical skills and analytic thinking, experience working within complex organizational structures, and a communication style that enables the candidate to liaise across stakeholder groups and cultivate strong relationships. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Design, deploy, and manage the department’s data architecture, including data inventories, data ingestion, ETL processes and flows, warehouse/data lake design, etc. Assist in defining standards for how data is stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across the department and translate into functional data models; Collaborate with stakeholders to understand structural and model requirements for business needs; Design and build performant data models in response to business needs; Work with in-department analysts on translating data architecture into end-user tools (e.g. data visualizations and custom applications) and provide technical oversight to ensure tools adhere to architecture governance standards; Implement systems and monitoring to ensure data quality, accuracy, performance, and security; Manage roadmap of architecture changes across the department, and work with Museum-wide stakeholders on defining future architecture initiatives; Evaluate existing data and analytics stack for best practice, security, performance and usability, and provide recommendations for improvement; Provide oversight and mentorship to analysts on data architecture, integration, and pipelines; Assist in the production, review, and audit of daily, weekly, monthly, and other ad-hoc reports using T-SQL and SQL Server Reporting Studio (SSRS); Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience 5 – 7 years of related experience in data architecture and at least 5 years of experience working with a CRM Extensive knowledge of CRM databases; Tessitura experience preferred Extensive experience with T-SQL and Azure required; C# experience preferred Extensive experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage Explorer, Azure Data Lake, and related Azure stack required Experience with SSRS and PowerBI preferred Experience working with modern data architecture and engineering Experience with annual giving programs and fundraising practices preferred COMPENSATION RANGE: Pay Range : $150,000 - $170,000 / Annually The advertised pay scale reflects the good faith minimum and maximum salary range for this role. The advertised pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage for any specific employee. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, special licensing or qualifications, and other factors. Location Requirements At time of employment, employees are expected to be located within commuting distance of the Museum. “Commuting distance” means that they are located in one of following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania (the “Tri-state and PA” areas), and be able to commute to and from the Museum in a single day.
