Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Residential Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our growing property maintenance team. This role focuses on performing residential repairs, preventative maintenance, and light construction across multiple homes.
This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general home repairs. We’re seeking someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently, and maintains professional communication with residents and team members.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare job sites, materials, and tools for maintenance and repair tasks
- Perform plumbing repairs and installations, including faucets, sinks, toilets, disposals, and fixtures
- Complete drywall repairs, patching, texture matching, and interior/exterior painting
- Install and repair flooring, including tile, vinyl plank, laminate, and wood flooring
- Perform carpentry tasks such as cabinet installation, trim work, baseboards, doors, and window repairs
- Complete light electrical work, including outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and ceiling fans
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine effective repair solutions
- Safely load, transport, and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Ensure all work meets company and residential maintenance quality standards
- Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of residential maintenance, handyman, or construction experience (Required)
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting
- Experience with residential painting and drywall repair preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
- Reliable transportation required (travel between properties required)
- Ability to lift and carry tools and materials as needed
- Leadership or project supervision experience is a plus
Schedule
- Full-Time
- 8-hour shifts
- Rotating weekends required
