Manufacturing Operations Technician

At our Portsmouth, VA facility, you arrive to a clean, organized floor where production is already humming. You jump in to help set up machines, verify settings, and run first-article checks. Through the shift, you keep an eye on quality, catch small issues before they become big problems, and team up with coworkers to hit shared goals. Before products head out, you make sure they’re cleaned, packaged, and labeled correctly—and the work area remains safe and orderly throughout.

• Assist with setup and operation of production machinery and equipment.
• Monitor processes to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Clean, package, and label finished goods for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Escalate issues or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in production or manufacturing preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing exposure is a plus.
• Ability to read, understand, and fulfill customer orders in different formats.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Comfort reading drawings, instructions, and measurements.
• Team-oriented mindset and communication skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
