Summary: In this role, you will serve as the category expert for an assigned portfolio of foodservice products and services for internal and external stakeholders. You will manage a competitive contract portfolio by driving the strategy and development of the agreements to help providers elevate supply cost performance and achieve operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of foodservice contracts. Collaborate with Vizient Contract Managers to develop a strategic approach to RFP development, negotiation plans, marketing strategies, and implementation of agreements. Develop a deep understanding of the products, suppliers, and industry trends that impact the portfolio through market research, attendance at industry events, and continuous learning opportunities. Provide expertise to providers, suppliers, Vizient’s field team, advisory solutions, legal, finance, and other internal and external stakeholders regarding the spend categories managed. Conduct presentations for providers to share category expertise and industry insights. Develop and manage relationships with providers and suppliers to ensure satisfaction through effective, timely communication and problem resolution. Partner with Vizient marketing to produce category marketing approaches for providers and suppliers that align with the overall marketing strategy. Create category-specific collateral to share insights, expertise, and best practices with internal and external stakeholders. Lead periodic business reviews and strategic planning meetings with suppliers for categories in the portfolio. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and revenue plans to measure contract performance against category objectives. Identify and fill gaps in the portfolio with suppliers or categories not on national agreement by presenting the value Vizient brings to their organizations. Qualifications: Relevant degree preferred. Registered Dietician certification a plus. 2 or more years of relevant experience required. Experience in foodservice highly preferred. Experience in meat products such as beef, pork, and center of plate preferred. Ability to present category knowledge in front of both large and small audiences. Must have financial experience working with expense and revenue budgets. Willingness to travel. Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
