What is 1-Tom-Plumber?
1 Tom Plumber is a professional, service-focused emergency drain clearing, water damage mitigation, and plumbing service company providing services to both commercial and residential properties.
Position Purpose
Apprentice Plumbers/Helpers assist lead technicians in performing plumbing and drain-related tasks, including diagnosis, repair, and installations. This is a hands-on role with a focus on learning, safety, and customer service.
Schedule
Start time: 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday

General Manager / Lead Technician
Responsibilities
Customer Support:
- Assist lead plumber on service calls and interact with customers professionally.
- Help maintain a clean and respectful job site environment.
Technical:
- Support drain cleaning, plumbing repairs, and installations.
- Handle tools and materials under the supervision of a licensed plumber.
- Assist in diagnosing plumbing issues and in executing solutions.
Administrative:
- Maintain tools and ensure truck inventory is stocked and organized.
- Complete basic documentation such as timesheets and work summaries.
- Adhere to safety protocols and building codes under supervision.
Other:
- Attend company meetings and training sessions regularly.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Learn and grow into increased responsibilities with time.
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year experience in plumbing or drain-related work required
- Clean and valid driver’s license preferred
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the trade
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High integrity and work ethic
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying temperatures
- Capable of climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods
