Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver products along assigned routes, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols
- Load and unload merchandise, utilizing proper heavy lifting practices and ensuring secure transportation of automobiles or other goods
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route sheets, and documentation in compliance with organizational policies
- Build strong customer relationships through professional communication, prompt service, and addressing client needs effectively
- Upsell additional products or services during deliveries to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach
- Conduct merchandising activities at retail stores, including product placement and inventory checks to support sales goals
- Organize daily routes efficiently using mapping tools or GPS systems to optimize delivery times and reduce fuel consumption
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, retail store operations, or military logistics preferred
- Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, basic math skills, and route planning techniques
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, vehicle maintenance checks, and automobile transportation standards
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage schedules, deliveries, and documentation accurately
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is highly desirable
- Prior experience in sales or upselling techniques is a plus but not required
