We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our clients team in Gonzales, LA. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various engine-driven equipment, such as welding machines, generators, light towers, air compressors, and more.
The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with rental tools and equipment, including power tools, light towers, generators, and more.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components in accordance with safety standards.
- Manage inventory of tools and equipment, including tracking and documenting repairs.
- Assist customers by providing technical advice and guidance on equipment usage and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Respond to customer needs and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize equipment availability and service efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical program in mechanics or relevant field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, specifically with rental tools and equipment such has light towers, compressors, generators.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of machinery.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in equipment maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
