Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemist to join our team. As a Senior Chemist, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, developing new products, and ensuring quality control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical chemistry, product development, and laboratory techniques.
Duties:
- Performs activities in the laboratory and the field involving the analyses and recommendation for the treatment of drinking and wastewater supplies
- Maintains and performs quality assurance/quality control
- Operates simple and sophisticated laboratory equipment
- Compiles data and prepares findings
- Generates reports
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of analytical chemistry experience.
- May develop programs and procedures
- May monitor efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Operates analytical instrumentation (i.e. GC, GC-MS, UV-Vis, HPLC, IC).Provides ongoing feedback, development, and performance reviews of staff.
- Initiates and performs operations projects involving water quality
- Prepares special and standard reagents and solutions for use in chemical testing

- Must be able to lift 30 lbs
- Technically proficient and current in USDA, FDA, AOAC, USP associated with HPLC, GC/FID, ICP/MS, GC/MS/MS, LC/MS/MS etc.
- Proficient in the requirements of ISO17025:2017 including updating existing SOP's writing new SOPS for new procedures.
- Identify and implement new procedures, updating existing procedures (SOP's).
- Communicate with our clients in a friendly, effective, knowledgeable manner
- Must be good in a fast paced laboratory setting, Demonstrate excellent manual dexterity, maintain a clean work environment, able to multitask but adhere to strict quality guidelines, proficient with LIMS, Microsoft Excel, Word and Access, friendly to our customers, fast learner, dependable. Work Schedule must be flexible to match our client’s needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in chemistry, biology, bacteriology, chemical engineering or a closely related field.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES: A valid driver license is a plus at the time of application.
