#1 In Home Care is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and committed Direct Service Worker (DSW) Field Supervisor to join its leadership team. We’re looking for a proactive professional who understands home care regulations, promotes compliance and quality, and is passionate about mentoring and developing others.
As a DSW Supervisor, you will shape a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability while ensuring every DSW feels supported and every client receives the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor DSWs to ensure safe, effective, and compliant care.
Conduct regular field visits and unannounced supervisory checks to evaluate quality and performance.
Ensure accurate documentation of service notes, client records per state and federal regulations, and timesheet approvals.
Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing development to DSWs.
Maintain adequate staffing and provide on-call coverage when needed.
Collaborate with clients, families, support coordinators, and other providers to ensure continuity and satisfaction of care.
Uphold agency policies and contribute to organizational growth through innovation, accountability, and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred).
Minimum 7 years supporting individuals in home care, healthcare, or similar environments.
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience overseeing DSWs or similar personnel.
Knowledge of Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) regulations and DSW standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft and Google business software; LASRS experience preferred.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
Ability to travel for site visits and work flexible hours when needed.
