Position Summary
The WMS Specialist I supports daily warehouse operations through effective use of the SAP and Oracle Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). This position is responsible for executing routine system tasks, monitoring workflow accuracy, and assisting with troubleshooting system issues that impact productivity. The Specialist I ensures data accuracy, order flow, and inventory integrity, while learning to identify process issues and escalate them for resolution.
Key Responsibilities
System Operations
- Execute core WMS tasks in SAP and Oracle including order release, task confirmation, inventory movement, and shipment updates.
- Monitor work queues and order statuses to ensure on-time processing and completion.
- Perform data entry and validation to support daily warehouse operations (e.g., bin maintenance, inventory transfers, order status checks).
- Identify and escalate system or process exceptions to the Systems Manager or Specialist II for resolution.
- Support workload balancing by monitoring wave progress and task assignments.
Operational Support
- Assist in maintaining warehouse master data such as storage locations, bin setups, and item attributes.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for user issues related to SAP or Oracle WMS transactions.
- Communicate order delays, workflow interruptions, or data discrepancies to operations leadership in real time.
- Participate in daily operational meetings and support shift hand-off communications.
Reporting & Documentation
- Run and review standard WMS reports to confirm task completion, order accuracy, and shipment tracking.
- Document process steps and maintain user guides or quick-reference materials for assigned functional areas.
- Record and report recurring issues to support continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience working with a Warehouse Management System (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience in distribution, fulfillment, or warehouse operations preferred.
Technical Skills
- Basic to intermediate understanding of SAP WM or Oracle WMS transactions.
- Ability to execute standard warehouse functions such as picking, putaway, replenishment, and shipping through WMS.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel and basic reporting tools.
- Strong data accuracy and attention to detail.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with warehouse operations and support teams.
- Eagerness to learn advanced system functionality.
- Organized and reliable; able to follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and fast-paced warehouse demands.
Shift Options
- Shift 1: Sunday–Wednesday (Sun 4:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m., Mon–Wed 2:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.)
- Shift 2: Tuesday–Friday (7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.)
- Flexibility required during peak periods.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- 2 years of related experience
- Strong Excel experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong WMS experience/SAP preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
- Possess exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results
- Have the ability to use Microsoft Office for work organization, analysis, and communication.
