What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Mixer position at 1-800-Flowers Family of Brands?
We are looking for full-time, Food Production Mixer Associates who can work a 2nd shift schedule between 2:00pm-11:00pm Monday-Friday. This position will perform a variety of tasks related to cleaning and maintaining all food production equipment and surrounding areas which include the Production, Oven Room, and the Kitchen. The Mixer Associate is responsible for machine operation, measuring out ingredients, and filing out lot sheets. The Mixer Associate will report directly to and follow instructions from their Line Lead, QA, and Management.
All positions require the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, repetitive use of hands and arms, and walking, standing for an entire 8-hour shift.
Qualifications:
- Previous food production mixer experience in a factory environment preferred, but not required
- Employment is contingent upon a pre-hire screening, which will require your complete documents for a background investigation.
- Ability to work a 8-hour shift Monday through Thursday from 2:00pm to 11:00pm.
- Additional hours including weekends is required during peak seasons
- All positions require the ability to lift up to 55 lbs
- Ability to follow recipes and measurements
- Ability to correct lot codes, check expiration dates for all ingredients
- Clean-up equipment, tables, scales, and utensils as needed
