Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction and heavy machinery team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of construction and industrial equipment, ensuring safe and efficient project completion. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring mechanical expertise and hands-on operation of heavy machinery.
Duties
- Operate a wide range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker vehicles.
- Manage construction site tasks such as moving materials, grading, excavation, and site preparation.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of construction sites, including positioning machinery and coordinating with team members.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all OSHA regulations during operation.
- Collaborate with project managers and other crew members to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers (dozer), loaders (front loader truck), backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other construction equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues and performing routine maintenance.
- Construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety procedures.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles including dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks.
- Familiarity with farm machinery and specialized equipment like concrete mixers is a plus.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for driving heavy or specialized vehicles.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks associated with equipment operation in various weather conditions. This position requires candidates to demonstrate proficiency in operating heavy machinery safely while adhering to all safety standards on-site. Prior experience in construction environments is highly valued for this role.

Pay: $24.65 - $29.69 per hour
