Automation & Database Operations Drive the automation of database processes through advanced Python scripting to ensure reliability and speed. Build solutions that combine on-premises and cloud database environments to achieve optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Champion the integration of new database features and improvements across the platform. Infrastructure & DevOps Integration Manage database deployments using Docker; experience with Kubernetes is highly valuable. Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, integrating tools such as OpenTelemetry and Loki into DevOps workflows. Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to create scalable and repeatable infrastructure patterns. High Availability & Disaster Recovery Design and implement robust HA and DR strategies to support critical database systems. Continuously enhance recovery protocols to maintain secure and resilient infrastructure. Maintenance & Support Oversee proactive monitoring and maintenance practices to minimize downtime and address potential issues early. Deep expertise in either SQL Server or PostgreSQL, with a willingness to broaden your skills. Proficient in Python for scripting and automation. Hands-on experience with Snowflake and familiarity with Apache Iceberg. Understanding of Trino and S3 for large-scale data processing. Experience with Apache Airflow and dbt for data orchestration and transformation. Skilled in Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus. Strong foundation in CI/CD and infrastructure automation using Terraform. Bonus Points For Experience with Kafka and real-time data streaming. Knowledge of ClickHouse and interest in exploring emerging database platforms. Background in data lakehouse architectures and innovative data strategies.
