EHS Manager

Purpose

Lead the company's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs, manage environmental compliance, and drive a strong health and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

• Lead, develop, and monitor the Health & Safety strategy.
• Drive cultural change to embed a proactive safety mindset across the site.
• Oversee risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
• Deliver internal training (Induction, Toolbox Talks).

Environmental Compliance

• Manage daily operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
• Ensure full compliance with EPA licence conditions.
• Lead environmental investment projects, including WWTP upgrades and improvements.
• Manage all regulatory reporting and liaise with agencies (EPA, Irish Water).

Leadership

• Manage a team of 3–4 direct reports.
• Set clear objectives, mentor team members, and conduct annual reviews.
• Build a collaborative, high-performing EHS team.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree in Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Engineering, or similar.
• Strong experience managing IPPC/EPA licensed sites.
• Direct experience managing WWTP operations.
• Manufacturing experience (food industry preferred).
• Minimum 2 years' people management experience.
• Skilled in driving cultural change and influencing at all levels.
• Risk Assessor certification an advantage.
