Volunteer everyday advisor - DRC Danish Refugee Council

Help make everyday life easier for people with refugee and ethnic minority backgrounds!
We are currently looking for volunteers for our everyday counseling in Aarhus and hope you would like to become part of our fantastic volunteer team!

A little about everyday advice
As a volunteer everyday advisor, you help people with refugee and ethnic minority backgrounds with the challenges they may face when encountering the Danish system and the little things that can be annoying in everyday life. This can include help with understanding letters from the municipality, healthcare, etc., using MitID, e-boks, rejsekort, borger.dk and other digital solutions, applying for housing benefit and other support, making an appointment with the doctor, etc.
There are interpreters associated with the everyday counseling services who can help with communication between the counselor and the visitor to the everyday counseling service, if necessary.

In Aarhus we have two weekday advice services:
The Hunter's Farm
Address: Værkmestergade 15B, 8000 Aarhus C
Opening hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am-12 pm

Carl Blochs Street Public House
Address: Carl Blochs gade 30, 8000 Aarhus C
Opening hours: Mondays and Thursdays 4-6 pm
