We are looking for a meticulous and strategic Internal Auditor to join our team. As an Internal Auditor, you will ensure that all our processes and operations comply with internal and external regulations, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our business practices. Your sharp analytical skills will be key in identifying areas for improvement and mitigating risks. How you'll make an impact:

  • Evaluate internal controls and compliance with regulations, conducting audits on various departments and processes
  • Analyze data to detect discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and develop solutions with management to mitigate risks
  • Prepare and present audit reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations
  • Monitor changes in regulations and update audit processes accordingly, ensuring compliance with accounting and audit principles
  • Communicate testing results to business leaders and external auditors, recommending changes to increase efficiency
  • Develop and implement forms, systems, and procedures to achieve department goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute operational audits using consistent approaches

What you'll need to thrive:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) are a plus
  • Experience: Proven experience in internal auditing, preferably within the travel or technology sectors, with at least 7 years of hands-on knowledge of audit procedures and 3 years working with Sarbanes-Oxley (COSO-ICFR, SOX 302, 404)
  • Skills: Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in audit software and systems
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of financial, operational, and IT general computing controls, and knowledge of international audit practices and regulations is a bonus
  • Language: Fluency in English at a native level, as it is our company language
  • Attributes: Self-starter capable of developing and enhancing the internal control environment, particularly in the SOX area, and able to work independently.

Stand out with:

  • Experience: Proficiency in working with COSO ERM or similar Enterprise Risk Management frameworks
  • Education: Master's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in German
