Radiology experience preferred
Tuesday through Saturday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Farmingdale, NY
*In office position only*
Coder job responsibilities:
- Reading and analyzing patient records
- Determining the correct codes for patient records
- Using codes to bill insurance providers
- Interacting with physicians
- Keeping track of patient data over multiple visits
- Managing detailed, specifically-coded information
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and information security
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure all documentation is accurate and precise
Essential duties:
- CPC certification required
- Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and procedures
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy preferred
- Excellent typing skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to communicate, both verbal and written
