The Senior QA Automation Engineer will impact the organization by championing quality throughout the entire software development process. They are responsible for the design, creation and execution of manual and automated tests to help verify and validate our product requirements. This position is 100% remote.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

• Collaborate with a squad of software engineers, business analysts/owners, and product managers to deliver on our software development projects. We practice both Agile Scrum and Kanban.
• Implement proven test strategies to verify our software meets the defined product requirements, and help validate that they meet expectations.
• Write and execute test cases and plans for both manual and automated tests, and continuously review and improve them as requirements change and adapt.
• Build and deploy code locally and to development environments in the cloud to perform gray-box end-to-end testing, and participate in the code review process.
• Conduct a full range of testing on all software products for applicable platforms. This includes functional, performance, and security testing on our GUI and API applications.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of our automated testing frameworks and CI/CD processes.
• Work with product managers, business analysts/owners, and other members of the company on code release strategy and documentation.
• Participate as needed in incident support and triage to help with root cause analysis (RCA) to improve released software.

Requirements

• 5 years experience in quality assurance as an individual contributor.
• 1-3 years experience with at least one of the following in each category:
• Programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, Go, C#
• Code-based web automation tools: WebdriverIO, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, TestCafe, Postman, REST Assured, jMeter
• Build tools: Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
• Familiarity with:
• Project/code management tools (ie. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub)
• Test case management software (ie. Xray, TestRail, Rally)
• Foundational web technologies (HTML/CSS)
• Databases and writing SQL statements
• Writing commands in a bash/zsh shell

Nice to haves

• React web project experience
• Load/performance and/or security/penetration testing
• Mobile automation testing: Appium, XCTest, etc
• Managing distributed tests in the cloud (using tools like Browserstack, Saucelabs, etc.)
• Experience with data migrations by code (using tools like Flyway)
• Bachelor's Degree
• Healthcare experience
