Job Summary:

Provide leadership to the Industrial Engineering team in improving manufacturing and distribution processes and implementing Lean principles in Operations.

Essential Functions:

• Develop, implement, monitor, and publish performance metrics in support of the Operations team’s Lean transformation

• Provide strategic guidance for, and lead the execution of, facility layout optimization for more efficient material flow and space utilization

• Using Lean tools, improve labor efficiency, increase manufacturing throughput, and reduce waste

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve workplace safety and ergonomics

• Partner with other departments such as Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Distribution, and OpEx to strive for world-class performance

• Hire, develop, and mentor Industrial Engineers

Skills Requirements:

• Strong understanding and application of Lean principles

• Ability to directly supervise a department and also influence others without authority

• Familiarity with operating in an ISO13485.

• Familiarity with FDA QSR a plus

• Must be familiar with PCs and Microsoft Office

• Must be able to lift 35 pounds

• Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years work experience in a manufacturing operation; leadership experience strongly preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; Industrial Engineering preferred

• Master’s Degree in Engineering or MBA preferred
