Overview

ZeniMax Online Studios is seeking an experienced Web Developer to create new web experiences supporting our games. As a Web Developer, you will work hand-in-hand with Content, Product, and Design to ensure our websites are easy to update, reflect the latest content of our games, and adhere to strict privacy, accessibility, and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Ensure that security and accessibility requirements are followed
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Qualifications

Proficient knowledge and understanding of the following:

• Web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Client-side scripting with JavaScript/Typescript
• PHP
• Modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, Vue, and React
• Modern PHP frameworks like Laravel
• Asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• REST and working with Web Services
• Cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Code versioning tools, such as Git and Perforce
• Frontend attack vectors (XSS, session hijacking, CSRF, etc.)

Basic knowledge and understanding of the following:

• Image authoring tools; ability to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image
• Server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

Preferred Skills

• Experience setting up unit test platforms and frontend testing suites
• Knowledge of WebGL and Three.js
• Experience building custom content management systems
• DevOps, Backend Dev, and/or Design experience
• Experience with game design and development
