POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for the timely, efficient, cleanliness and sanitization of the entire property, through communicating with the Room Attendants, Houseperson(s) and other departments pertaining to the cleanliness of the property, preparation of the rooms, and coordination of the daily cleaning policies. This position helps ensure that our guests are satisfied with the overall cleanliness and comfort of the sleeping accommodations and the cleanliness of the hotel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Housekeeping Inspector

  • Manages the Room Attendants and ensures rooms are being cleaned and stocked properly and set-up is consistent to brand standards.
  • Communicates with all departments to guarantee the maintenance, cleanliness, sanitization, and security of the guest rooms.
  • Quickly and effectively establishes rapport with guests and visitors.
  • Utilizes the checklist (digital preferred) to inspect, clean, sanitize and secure the facilities.
  • Prepare and inspection of VIP rooms and/or group rooms to ensure satisfaction.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

The Housekeeping Inspector may also:

  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the property.
  • Assist a guest with special request.
  • Assist in cleaning of rooms in absence of room attendants.
  • Assist in laundry facility as needed.
  • Assist in common/public areas as needed.
  • Assist a guest with their belongings.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education/Credentials

This position requires a high school diploma or GED.

Experience

This position requires at least two years of experience in a position that interacts with customers, preferably in a hospitality organization, and at least one year of supervisory experience.
