ZAK DESIGNS is Hiring a Senior Sales Analyst Near Bentonville, AR

Description

The Sr Sales Analyst for Walmart/Sam’s Club at Zak Designs coordinates with the Sr Director of Sales for Walmart/Sam’s Club to drive sales strategies and grow Zak Designs branded and licensed business. This position will be a key touchpoint on the Zak Designs Team sharing and collaborating on all Walmart/Sam’s Club projects. This position must understand customer business needs and build short and long-term strategies that support those customer goals while achieving company sales targets and financial expectations. Manages the execution of the company plan for Walmart/Sam’s Club and builds customer/category plans for Walmart/Sam’s Club in coordination with the Sr. Director of Sales. Helps lead and coordinate cross-functional company efforts with Walmart/Sam’s Club to accomplish the customer plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Assists in the development of category growth ideas for Walmart/Sam’s Club omni-channel business while operating within Zak Designs corporate initiatives and guidelines.
  • Manage and improve Zak Designs omni-channel presence by collaborating and working with internal and external parties to be best in class.
  • Contribute to development of/and presenting of category line reviews 
  • Key contributor in internal and external planning
  • Gain a deep understanding of the customers’ needs and priorities within various categories. 
  • Conducts key ad-hoc analysis to help understand business trends
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain analyst on sales reports and demand forecast
  • Collaborates with multi-functional resources to deliver insights that drive business decisions. Teams including but not limited to product development, marketing, licensing, purchasing and warehouse.
  • Assist Sr. Director of Sales in building and planning event ROI, net sales, and profitability.
  • Assist in building iterations (seasonal/POG) of customer-specific category planograms as aligned with customer and Sr. Director of Sales.
  • Provide category thought leadership and insights from the customer to drive both category growth and business across Zak Designs. 
  • Assist the Sr. Director of Sales in managing the customer P&L (where applicable) and have a very clear sense of financial targets to hit the customer/categories objectives.
  • Market visits and regular store walks must be completed to ensure retail execution and excellence on shelf.
  • Maintain communication with internal customer solutions and stakeholders post market visits on POG/Seasonal programs.
  • Continuous communication of customer needs to internal stakeholders and collaboration with customer and internal teams on joint business plan.
  • Look for opportunities to gain distribution on new products and improve product exposure.
  • Collect and mine through NPD and customer-based data; run correlation analysis to better understand which levers drive growth and identify white space opportunities.
  • Provide key input for forecasting and sales teams 

Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in business, marketing, communications, or another related field; and two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Must be willing to demonstrate an ability to achieve breakthrough sales and business development results. 
  • Routine travel is required – average of 25%. 
  • Must reside or be willing to reside in the Bentonville, AR, region. 
  • Strong computer skills with spreadsheet and graphic presentation programs required. Strong presentation and communication skills with planning and implementation abilities. Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables and managing large datasets.
  • Advanced knowledge of data analytics, Syndicated Data (NPD), and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to learn and understand customer specific data (i.e., Item360, MADRiD, Decision Support, Quote Management)
  • Ability to collaborate in a multi-functional team setting and work synergistically with others while exhibiting respect and positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize and self-manage workload; ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality even within Zak Designs.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities
