Role Overview:
This role is responsible for the shipping of all in bound and outbound materials from the Grafton facility both domestic and internationally. Learn all procedures for products that are to be shipped, as well as how to properly interpret Bill(s) of Lading, different systems and be able to audit shipments. Responsible for tracking and handling all aspects of shipping and receiving and keeping accurate records. This is a 1st shift position. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.Company Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Keeps the immediate supervisor informed of relevant activities on shift and takes or recommends corrective action when required.
• Produces and reviews proper shipping paperwork for carriers or forwarding agents and enters correct shipment data into IFS ERP system and/or other Freight interfaces (UPS, FedEx, CH Robinson, etc.).
• Works with off-site customer service via multiple communication tools to prioritize daily shipping needs and handles order aspects from pick list creation to customer invoicing and all steps in between.
• Ensures items are properly picked, packaged, and labeled for mode of shipment.
• Follows pick list to gather parts for shipment (including the use of fork or hand truck).
• Assists in receiving and/or material handling duties as determined by manager.
• Understand and comply with all HACCP, Allergen, Environmental, regulatory and customer demands and requirements.
• Fully understands the labeling and coding requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior shipping clerical experience is required.
• Experience in IFS or similar ERP software is required.
• Experience in computer related programs as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees in the organization.
• Able to process and interpret export documentation.
• Able to process handle multiple tasks at once.
• Able to function well in a team or group environment.
• Availability for overtime or off-shift hours to assure appropriate levels of customer service.
• Problem solving ability and aptitude for learning and professional growth.
