Role Overview

The Distribution Associate I will be responsible for accurately completing tasks essential to the movement of product throughout the distribution center.

Essential Duties:

• Pick and Pack product for outbound customer orders
• Operate packaging station including the loading and unloading of line
• Receiving and processing of inbound shipments from vendors and /or returned orders from customers
• Participate in Inventory Control tasks such as cycle-counting, replenishment of on-hand inventory and periodic physical inventories
• Support the operational activity of other product lines or companies as necessary
• Load/Unload shipping containers, trailers, etc. as necessary
• Minimal clerical duties may be required

Related Duties:

• Performs other duties, as assigned
• Support the operational activity of other departments in the distribution center, as needed
• Occasional shipping

Minimum Qualifications:

Training and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years previous pick/pack/ship experience in a warehouse environment required; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

• Knowledge of basic PC skills and ability to type at a reasonable pace
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
• Ability to be a self-starter, follow-through and have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing goals

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate a forklift or hand trucks safely, with certification, is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to stand, stoop, bend, and walk frequently during the shift, up to 8 hours; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves. Will need to consistently be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions

Warehouse environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.
