Description
York Barbell is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle miscellaneous tasks in our warehouse. This is a first shift position, with an opportunity to work either 7am-330pm, or, 8am - 430pm shift.
This position is responsible for the accurate and timely picking and processing of orders in the warehouse. This person should have experience with forklift operation, and also experience pulling and wrapping orders. In addition, this person should have experience on computers as well as understand how to process a shipment on a computer. Other duties may be required and assigned based on business needs. Experience with UPS or shipping software is a plus, specific to UPS or Fedex. Certified forklift operator a plus.
In addition to the above, this associate will also assist in our operating woodshop as needed. This requires attention to detail, and an ability to handle power tools applicable to the building of weightlifting platforms and boxes.
Requirements
Person must be able to lift 75 pounds or more. Some Saturday work will be required depending on level of business. Ability to work fast and accurate is critical, as well as the ability to handle multiple issues/requests simultaneously, and also to work safely within a team environment. Ability to work in hot or cold environments based on season. Attention to detail and punctuality is a must. Knowledge of box truck air brake system a plus as well.
Experience
Prospective candidates will have 2 years of warehouse experience.
