JOB DETAILS:

The Mobile Market Staff is responsible for supervising, developing, and implementing the overall daily operations of the Chattanooga Mobile Market. The Chattanooga Mobile Market was created through several community partners to respond to the lack of healthy and fresh food options in Chattanooga’s food deserts by bringing a mobile market and education programs into neighborhoods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Driving the truck and trailer from the storage to multiple sites and back.
• Overseeing and assisting with the daily stocking and unloading of the trailer.
• Assisting the YMCA Facilities Director with all maintenance of the truck and trailer.
• Completion of daily checklists including mileage reports, daily sales, cleaning assignments, etc.
• Executing the opening and closing duties for each site, including balancing sales and deposits.
• Adherence to daily protocols related to opening and closing the trailer, operating the Mobile Market, safety protocols, computer/EBT sales, inventory, cleaning, and reporting.
• Operating all security measures and working with local community representatives and volunteers.
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all customers feel appreciated, valued, and respected.
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior customer service experience preferred
• 21 years minimum age
• Must be able to pass a background check including criminal and MVR
• Must display a high degree of professionalism and customer service
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical Requirements of the position include walking, stooping, standing, sitting, climbing, kneeling, lifting (could be up to 50 lbs).
