As a Member Services Associate, you’ll be a creator of culture, a relationship developer, and a key part of helping our Y reach more people in our community. A Day in the Life of a Member Services Associate:
You’ll play an absolutely essential role in growing our membership. In fact, you’ll be one of the first friendly faces a potential new member sees at the Y. You’ll be an active listener focused on developing sustainable relationships and determining individual goals and interests of our members. New members will rely on you and existing members will come to know you as a person who can get stuff done. You get to be the person that helps our members understand how to make the most of their time at the Y -
You'll learn a lot. You're not stuck doing one task here. You’ll get to use your outstanding customer service skills, top notch administrative skills, and help keep our membership database organized and up to date -
To be successful as a Member Services Associate, you’ll have passion, enthusiasm, commitment, and understanding of the nonprofit mission and cause of the YMCA.
You have a desire to serve members, volunteers, guests, participants, and staff, and the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
You’re a professional and a team player. You possess problem-solving skills, demonstrate sound judgment, and take initiative.
You are highly organized and a gifted multi-tasker!
You understand the importance of protecting confidential information.
Technology is your friend! You have strong computer skills and don’t shy away from learning new programs!
You understand the Y is an ever-changing, dynamic environment and requires flexibility in scheduling.
Minimum 16 years of age
Previous sales or customer service experience a plus
Multilingual a plus
Certifications Required:

New Hire Orientation training
Membership Software training
Within 30 days of hire: CPR Pro/First Aid/AED certification
