Yeshiva University is Hiring an Operations Manager Near New York, NY

Position Summary:

The Office for Values and Leadership at Yeshiva University is charged with serving the entire university, our alumni, and the broader Jewish community promoting Yeshiva University's core Torah values and the writings of Rabbi Sacks. We believe that integrity, responsibility, community, and excellence, sourced in the Torah's teachings, form the basis of a values-based education. Reporting to the Vice Provost of Values and Leadership, the Operations Manager is to play a critical role in managing the daily operational needs of both the Vice Provost and the Office of Values and Leadership.

The Operations Manager will be involved in all aspects of the Vice Provosts daily schedule and communications. The manager assists with managing the day-to-day operations to support the Office functioning in a strategic manner, paying vendors, processing honorariums, website updates, scheduling meeting spaces on campus et. al. This includes building and streamlining processes, operationalizing policies and procedures, and identifying opportunities for improvements to support new and existing initiatives.

This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge and comfort level utilizing social media platforms, the ability to relate to a broad range of constituents (university partners, faculty, administrators, etc.), an appreciation for and sensitivity to a variety of backgrounds and traditions from which Yeshiva University students come, and the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages day-to-day operations of the Office for Values and Leadership
  • Answers Office inquiries from community members, stakeholders, students and others; ensures all communications are processed in a timely manner
  • Manages email and calendar for Vice Provost which includes but is not limited to creating and managing system for scheduling meetings, appointments and travel needs for Vice Provost
  • Manages travel schedules and expense accounts for the Vice Provost
  • Organize personnel searches and purchasing for the Vice Provost's Office
  • Manages budget, procurement, and billing process (requisitions, invoices, payables)
  • Assists with and participates in the planning and execution of events through internal YU systems
  • Other special projects and executive support duties as assigned, including communications and preparation of reports
  • Generates and maintains communications with external and internal stakeholders and other constituents through website and social media channels.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Performs other operational tasks as assigned
Experience & Education Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant or related field; and/or additional work experience beyond three year minimum is preferred.
  • Professional experience in the higher education and/or operations context is strongly preferred but not required.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong communicator and project manager, and organizational and time management skills.
  • A willingness to learn new software is required
  • Experience with videoconferencing planning and implementation is a plus
  • Must have willingness to communicate with students, donors, internal staff and faculty on a daily basis in a friendly courteous manner, and the ability to create and maintain positive relationships
  • Experience managing complex projects with aggressive deadlines
  • Understanding and/or ability to learn YU's technological platforms, including, but not limited to: Ellucian Banner and Recruit, Imodules and Maccabuy
Salary Range:$70,000-$80,000
