What it looks like:

We are looking for an experienced Development Operations Engineer to be the subject matter expert in building and managing the architecture of cloud-based systems.

• Building software architecture and services at an enterprise level
• Manage the cloud infrastructure and multi-domain enterprise tool 
• Designs and implements effective, secure infrastructures solutions that meet the business and technology requirements of the project.
• Agile and DevSecOps development practices
• Automated (unit/integration/end-to-end) testing
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
• Containerization (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Develops pipelines and automates workflows and processes through code and tooling to reduce technical debt and improve the efficiency of the team.
• Troubleshoots technical issues in infrastructure like software-defined networks, databases, and compute resources.
• Coaches and mentors others to develop their professional skills.
• Software systems engineering, 
• Refactoring to minimize technical debt
• Collaborates with, development team to design and develop new features.
• Analyze and integrate external customer specifications
• Act as an ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Drives all phases of the infrastructure and operations lifecycle from task creation to production deployment of new system components.
• Support systems administration, database administration, cloud service administration

• Develops pipelines and automates workflows and processes through code and tooling to reduce technical debt and improve the efficiency of the team.
• Troubleshoots technical issues in infrastructure like software-defined networks, databases, and compute resources.
• Develops and implements plans for the continuous improvement and vulnerability management of the system.
• Identifies opportunities and articulates suggestions to improve the technology strategies beyond the scope of a team or project.
• Makes decisions that are consistent with the organization’s business strategy.
• Demonstrates deep knowledge of products/workflows within the businesses they support.

Clearance: Must be clearable to TS/SCI with polygraph

What we are looking for:

• Subject Matter Expert in areas of Security, DevSecOps, Cloud infrastructure, deployment automation
• 5 or more years AWS experience (Lambdas, API Gateway, IAM)
• Understanding security practices and internal workflows
• QA workflow setup, release schedule, automated testing
• Experience with cloud infrastructure AWS or AZURE
• Terraform
• Microservices Decomposition
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline is required
• Have a solid understanding of systems, hosts, networks, security, applications, and proficiency in scripting (JavaScript, Python)

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
