Xcel Energy is Hiring an Associate Supply Chain Analyst Near Henderson, CO

With direction, prepare reporting/statistical analysis for Supply Chain processes and understand how analysis impacts overall Supply Chain processes. Support and maintain data management needs and activities. With guidance, handle details and assignments of a confidential nature. Support implementation of process and system improvements in Supply Chain. Standardize and optimize process design. Support training for internal/external customers on Supply Chain processes. Position may have concentration in specific business areas, processes, and systems.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Customer/System Support/Problem Resolution: Support in-depth research on complex audit questions, software system, or transactional problems within the overall processes. With direction, support and maintain data management needs and activities. Provide customer service support by assisting as a technical and informational resource to resolve questions/issues.
  • Analysis/Reporting: Utilize report writing tools to create insightful reporting from various data sources to monitor Supply Chain key performance metrics and exceptions, with direction. Perform analysis (e.g., statistical, trend/correlation/control charts) to identify and proactively communicate trends, root causes, performance, etc. Analyze reports to ensure data accuracy. Support analysis and research of audit questions.
  • Process/System Documentation/Training: Participate in the development of Process and System User documentation utilized by Supply Chain. Support training on departmental systems and processes. Review data quality issues and coordinate solutions with relevant data owners. Assist with ad-hoc data maintenance and analysis tasks.
  • Project/Program Management: Develop project management skills to lead projects to improve processes. Participate in the development and implementation of project plans, and communicate project milestones, obstacles, and progress. Prepare management reports on program usage and compliance. Analyze reports to ensure data accuracy. If applicable, develop, maintain, and modify templates with direction. Support interaction with Supply Chain departments to ensure proper procedures are followed. Reconcile and validate reports, troubleshoot technical problems, conduct testing, support system updates, and coordinate with IT personnel.
  • Auditing: Support independent reviews of processes, policy, procedures and/or contract quality. Participate in SOX assessment tests on Supply Chain controls. Support correction & follow through on audit findings. Identify, recommend, and write process controls, test scripts, and communications, where needed. Audit, correct errors, and advise personnel on procedures to process transactions accurately throughout Supply Chain. Support compliance with associated corporate and regulatory requirements, such as sales tax, SOX, IRS, FERC, using a variety of systems.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related technical/analytical field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (6 years of experience may substitute for the degree).
  • Excellent customer/communication skills.
  • Must be approachable, flexible, customer focused, self-motivated, results and team oriented.
  • Learns new tasks, tools, systems, and processes and develops skills quickly.

  • Strong data entry and computer skills (e.g., Excel, Adobe)
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced-level experience using MS Excel, Access, Word.
  • Experience with Supply Chain systems.
  • Project management skills.
  • Understanding of master data management principles and governance tools.
  • Familiarity with SAP reporting and Business Objects
  • Ability to retain and apply essential Data Governance practices

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $50,000 to $71,333 per year
