Job Summary

Xator Corporation is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, plant equipment, motors and generators.

Clearance Requirement - Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ability to weld various metal types using both MIG and TIG
• Operate tools such as grinders and sanders
• Perform tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding
• Repair broken or cracked parts
• Fill holes and increase size of metal parts
• Inspect equipment and machinery and perform repairs to performance DoD and Navy standards

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education

• High School or GED
• Formal classroom, apprenticeship, or trade school highly preferred

Experience

• 3 years’ experience welding using both MIG and TIG

Training Requirements

• HAZMAT training preferred
• OSHA training preferred

Physical Requirements

• Physical demands of lifting objects of up to 100 pounds as normally found in a shipping warehouse environment
• Welding and chemical fumes will be present, safety equipment will be used at all times
• High heat and electrical current present, safety precautions will be implemented and followed

On September 24, 2021, the U.S. Government’s Safer Federal Workforce Task Force issued “2021 Guidance for Federal Contractors and Subcontractors” mandating that Covered federal contractors, including Xator Corporation, and their employees shall be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
