POSITION OVERVIEW 

Xator is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill the role of Software Developer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

• Develop software to enhance a data lake with RESTful services and API’s to expose the data.
• Maintain existing API’s and augment them to provide additional features and functionality.
• Configure and enhance the AWS platform on which the data lake is built.
• Debug issues across the environments and support production issues.
• Migrate the organization into more of a DevOps model instead of major deliveries

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Applicable degree(s): Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field

Experience: 

• 8-12 years combining work experience, technical training, and professional certifications. 

Specialized Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in Java and Spring Framework
  • Spring Boot experience
  • Java Persistence API (JPA)
• Significant experience with Linux
• Demonstrated experience using Hadoop and Hbase
• Proven experience working in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment to include the following skills
  • RDS
  • EMR
• Experience with Bash scripting
• Knowledge of public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Strong experience with certificates and Certificate Authorities
• Database skills including demonstrable knowledge and practical experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Experience developing Rest APIs
  • Swagger
