Position DescriptionThe Senior Network Architect will have the primary responsibility to work on designing the Fuel Fabrication Facility network architecture design including industrial control systems.

• Participate in all facets of requirements gathering, prioritization, design, development, testing, and execution of network engineering and security requests.
• Work closely with Senior IT and business leaders to align IT activities with business objectives.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to identify and select the products or services that best support the network strategy.
• Identify emerging security solutions and in coordination with Global Security, evaluate products.
• Capacity planning / dimensioning, appropriate technology selection/provisioning.
• Support adoption of new technologies and tools, recommend capability improvements, and assist in lab/QA deployments for technology trials.

• Knowledge of switched ethernet and VLAN technologies.
• Strong foundation in dynamic routing protocols (i.e., EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
• SME in Enterprise level facilities network security.
• SME in industrial control systems is preferred.
• Ability to be flexible, decision-oriented, and motivated to support management initiatives.
• Demonstrate a consultative approach to strategic decisions with a particular emphasis on design and delivery.
• Must be proficient in network architecture and design, network security, and network monitoring.
• Knowledge of data engineering and IT practices is strongly preferred.
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills, and the demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.

• High School Diploma. BS/BA degree in a related discipline, e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical degree is strongly preferred.
• 10 years of networking experience.
• 8 or more years of experience in designing/deploying/documenting network solutions.
• Certification in-network and/or security technologies (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, etc.).
• System/Network integrations experience.
• Must have demonstrated experience and detailed understanding of Routing Protocols.
• Policy-based routing, traffic classification/segregation.
• Must have demonstrated experience with very complex network topologies.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with full-stack layer 1-3 networking technologies.
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Network Analyzers.
• Experience working with highly effective engineering teams through major technology transitions.
• Experience working in complex network environments with legacy systems.
• Experience in recommending, designing, implementing, and maintaining, state-of-the-art network hardware and software systems.
• Hands-on experience in designing and deploying large-scale network security technologies.
• Prior experience in multi-vendor networking technologies.
• Experience working in the power generation industry is strongly preferred.
• Experience in designing and developing large-scale systems.Certifications
