Upon award, in support of a Marine Corps Systems Command customer, we are seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer with experience in planning, coordinating, executing, and managing the acquisition, engineering, and lifecycle sustainment of Marine Corps ground transportation programs and fielded assets.

The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering or scientific work in a project or performs work that involves conventional engineering or scientific practices.
  • Typical work may include research, development, design, testing, logistics, analysis, production, maintenance, operation, planning, estimating, application, or standardization of engineering facilities, systems, structures, software applications, firmware, processes equipment, devices, or materials.
  • Generates specifications or plans to support the development of acquisition documentation.
  • Supports technical findings, opinions or recommendations. Performs customer liaison, makes presentations and attends customer meetings.
  • Consults with stakeholders on technical applications to support program management decisions.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience relevant to the task responsibilities listed below

Specific Requirements:

  • Prepare, deliver, and update technical and engineering documentation in accordance with, but not limited to, DoDI 5000.02, SECNAVINST 5000.2, higher-level and Command policies and guidance based on the program’s acquisition.
  • Provide operational support.
  • Interface with the Program Manager (PM), Deputy Program Manager (DPM), Product Manager (PdM), Team Leads, Assistant Program Managers (APMs), Technical Support Staff (TSS), platform teams, and lead engineers to coordinate engineering inputs, support technical document development, and assessment of technical requirements.
  • Review vendor technical data in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers Y14.100 Standards as well as MIL-STD-31000 and provide technical assessments of vendor and Government test data.
  • Ensure that all efforts comply with the Systems Engineering (SE) processes as defined by Marine Corps Systems Command Order 5400.5.
