What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer II position at Worldwide TechServices?

Survivability Engineer with experience in planning, coordinating, executing, and managing the acquisition, engineering, and lifecycle sustainment of Marine Corps ground transportation programs and fielded assets.

The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:  

  • Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering or scientific work in a project or performs work that involves conventional engineering or scientific practices. 
  • Typical work may include research, development, design, testing, logistics, analysis, production, maintenance, operation, planning, estimating, application, or standardization of engineering facilities, systems, structures, software applications, firmware, processes equipment, devices, or materials. 
  • Generates specifications or plans to support the development of acquisition documentation. 
  • Supports technical findings, opinions or recommendations. Performs customer liaison, makes presentations and attends customer meetings. 
  • Consults with stakeholders on technical applications to support program management decisions. 

Education/Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience relevant to the task responsibilities listed below

 

Specific Requirements:   

  • Provide survivability, lethality, vulnerability, and force protection engineering support to include armor development and changes, and vulnerability reduction design for ground combat vehicles.  
  • Analyze high hard armor steel and vulnerability reduction technology and capability, and provide system survivability, lethality, and vulnerability analysis and recommendations. 
  • Perform survivability, lethality, and vulnerability assessments and analysis as part of engineering reviews. 
  • Conduct review and analysis of theater event data and historical data related to survivability of vehicles and crew. 
  • Conduct survivability, lethality, and vulnerability risk assessments, as well as develop and implement risk mitigation programs, when the Government directs, based on results of systems engineering analyses.
