Summary

The warehouse manager is responsible for managing the safe day-to-day operations at any Worldwide Foam satellite location. They are responsible for increasing productivity through continuous improvement as well as implementing and enforcing Worldwide Foam standards and policies designed to ensure the safety and compliance of Worldwide Foam processes and products. All with the overall goal of meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Essential Functions

• Manage warehouse associates by monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Manage timecards for all direct reports and approve for payroll weekly
• Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
• Set warehouse and team goals following company goals and objectives. Collaborate with other team members.
• Monitor workplace performance to improve employees.
• Audit and report inventory monthly
• Train, onboard, and evaluate employees
• Maintain manufacturing/warehouse supplies
• Up to date on federal and state safety regulations.

Work environment

• Work inside or outside year-round. There is exposure to dirt, dust, rain, noise, equipment, and vibrations.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. (Team Lift above 30 lbs.)
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout the workday

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Monitor and train employees
• Planning and organizing production
• Manage all time/attendance for direct reports
• Act as liaison between employees and corporate
• Responsibility for facility and equipment upkeep (utilizing maintenance contact/outsourcing as necessary)

Required education and experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing supervisory position
• Proven leadership/management/ team building skills
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Good computer skills and an understanding of operating systems, email, etc.
• Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.

Preferred education and experience

• ISO Experience preferred
• Knowledge of standard office equipment and procedures as well as good grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Forklift experience preferred (will train/ certify on site)
