A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLANT MANAGER

In this management position, you play an essential role in helping us manage this location for our company. You are responsible for safely managing the day-to-day operations at your assigned location. To increase productivity, you encourage continuous improvement among your employees as well as implement and enforce company standards to ensure our products exceed customer expectations. Based on the daily and weekly schedules, you coordinate production floor goals and establish operational objectives to ensure on-time deliveries of products.

To keep your team running smoothly, you assist with hiring local personnel. You work hard to build effective teams as well as ensure your employees have the proper training they need. Using your exceptional organizational skills, you keep track of inventory management using our ERP system as well as make sure we have sufficient supplies to successfully complete each day's activities. You maintain consistent communication with our main branch and report any issues that arise. You enjoy being an effective leader and keeping your team motivated to do good work, which is why you are perfect for this management position!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PLANT MANAGER

• Superb organizational skills
• Good people skills / team building
• 2-year degree or 3 years of experience in a similar manufacturing leadership position.
• ISO experience preferred
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Good computer skills and an understanding of (operating system, email, etc.)
• Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.

Having a college degree is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Can you effectively prioritize tasks while demonstrating good time management? Do you work well both independently and as part of a team? Are you good at taking the initiative?
