LEGOLAND Discovery Center San Jose/Bay Area is onthe lookout for an Assistant Master Model Builder!The Assistant Master Model Builder will be designing, building,removing, installing, and repairing all models at the attraction, includingMINILAND models ranging from mini figures to houses, and show and event stylemodels of all sizes. We are looking for someone with flair with the use ofcolors for a wide range of model creations. This role is critical in supportingthe day-to-day operations of the attraction including teaching classes to our guests and education groups, taking part in marketing events and more across this busy attraction.
The Assistant Master Model Builder workshop is a central focal point within the attraction,and you will be expected to engage and interact with guests in a meaningful waywhile carrying out building responsibilities. The Assistant Master Model Builder muststrive to create memorable moments with children and adults of all ages andmaintain an upbeat and approachable attitude that sets the standard of guestexcellence for the attraction. You will be responsible for ensuring yourworkshop areas are kept clean and neat while maintaining an accurate LEGOinventory for all in-house elements. Conduct building workshop classesand events include designing LEGO models and content. It is essentialthat you keep informed and up-to-date on building techniques and technicalmethods.
The Assistant Master Model Builderwill be responsible for building complicated LEGO models for a wide variety ofLEGOLAND attractions including, but not limited to, miniature scale models and life-sized organic models. This individual must have a flair for the use ofcolor and the ability to copy LEGO models from 3D prototypes, 2D drawings, andcomputer files.
You will be responsible forfollowing design briefs to meet the time, budget and directions given to buildLEGO® models for displays and marketing promotions in addition to themaintenance and installation of all LEGO features; recognizing when models needrepair, replacing or redesign.
You will be responsible for ensuringyour workshop areas are kept clean and neat while maintaining an accurate LEGOinventory for all in-house elements. Conduct building workshop classesand events include designing LEGO models and content. It is essentialthat you keep informed and up-to-date on building techniques and technicalmethods. Compensation for this position will be $19.50-22.00 /hour.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be passionate about delivering exceptional guest service, have a creative flair and the ability to create and maintain exciting LEGO Models and be able to adapt their approach to suit the model brief and audience.
Work Environment:
Various inside and outside areas within the Attraction, with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.
