Job Description:

In partnership with the CFO, develop financial policiesand best practice procedures in the finance department to be implemented agencywide.Collaborate with Program managersto ensure clear two way understanding of grant requirements and reportingdeadlines.Supervise assigned financestaff and provide coaching and on-going professional development opportunitiesto meet agency needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’sDegree in accounting or Finance related field required. Master’s degree inrelevant field preferred.
  • Minimum offive years’ experience in a finance department and performing grant fundaccounting. Experience supervisingaccounting or finance staff preferred.
  • Experiencewriting policies and procedures that comply with GAAP, ensuring proper controlsare in place.
  • PriorNon-Profit, grant funded accounting experience.
  • Ability todevelop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at alllevels of the organization
  • Stronginterpersonal and effective verbal/written communication skills.
  • Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficientin excel and accounting software platforms, Abila MIP preferred.
  • Provensuccessful ability to take concepts from inception to implementation.
  • Mustbe committed to supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as a core value ofWCAC.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • “RightHand” to CFO and business partner to Senior Management Team.
  • Maintain a professional leadership style, coach,mentor and develop afully engaged and high performing team that aligns with the strategic visionand initiatives.
  • Supervisethe operations of payroll including overseeing the maintenance of payrollrecords and files in accordance with agency policy and state and federal lawsand regulations.
  • SuperviseCash Receipts and perform monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • Monitorthe operations of accounts payable/receivables including electronic paymentsand positive pay system.
  • AssistCFO in production of Monthly Financial Reports, including Balance Sheet andIncome Statements.
  • Manageportfolio of grants and contracts.
  • Obtainand maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and generalledger structure.
  • Helpto ensure an accurate and timely quarterly and year end close.
